Through the magic of projection mapping, Meld projects the raw power of Mt. Vesuvius onto the jagged face of the ROM’s iconic, Libeskind designed, Crystal façade. 5 days of smoldering lava and smoke, culminate with a volcanic explosion and fireworks on opening day of the museum’s hotly anticipated Pompeii exhibit.
EXHIBIT
In addition to the exterior project mapping, we created an animation for the exhibit of the pyroclastic flow which ultimately blanketed Pompeii for thousands of years.
This animation was a backdrop to one of the key artifacts in the exhibit.
