The world's first customized mobile music video
In collaboration with Jam3 and Director Vania Heyman, Meld helped create the world's first custom music video mobile experience. This project, developed for Keys N Krates in partnership with Vice Media and Fido Mobile, redefined music video engagement by incorporating viewers' own photos into the customized mobile music video "Save Me."
Users are part of the music video
The vision was to craft the world's first location-specific music video for the band Keys N Krates, allowing fans to not just watch but become part of the music video itself. Through user-generated content (UGC) viewers uploaded their photos with locations and the experience aimed to personalize the journey of the band across Canada to the viewer's location. Each viewing was a unique experience tailored to the user's location.
Producing over 2,500 photobombed GIFs
With hundreds of shots from a 2-day green screen shoot with the band, the Meld team produced over 2,500 photobombed GIFs of the band into UGC photos that captured many popular Canadian sites and scenes. This massive library enabled viewers to scroll through GIFs meticulously designed to play in sync with the track and see the band gradually draw closer to their location. The culmination of this experience was the seamless integration of the viewer's very own photos, marking the band's arrival.
