Meld worked with the ROM's team of curatorial experts, interpretive planners and marketing directors to craft an exciting and scientifically accurate Augmented Reality experience that would not only attract visitors into the exhibit, but also serve as the interpretive tool in situ.
ABOUT THE APP
Augmented Reality tracking markers, carefully designed to work both outdoors and in low lighting, were positioned throughout the exhibit and the city, which surprised visitors by delivering fun, exciting messages about the fascinating, unusual dinosaurs from Gondwana. Visitors could then share their photo captures via Social Media.
The 3D dinosaur models were used in the Augmented Reality app and in the in-exhibit Dino Viewer AR stations maximizing the use of the content.
